Hosted by ILS, the two-day workshop sponsored by the ILO is intended primarily for development practitioners, policy analysts, policy advisors, researchers affiliated with the relevant ministries and the social partners of the ILO with the aim of helping trade policies to not only support employment generation but also help ensure the promotion of decent work in the Philippines.
The said technical workshop was a follow-up to the Technical Tripartite Workshop on Assessing the Effects of Trade on Employment in the Philippines, which was held last March 2017 in Makati City. It built on the previous technical knowledge and skills enhanced and focused on how the Social Accounting Matrix (SAM) framework can be used and utilized to assess the employment impacts of trade on the Philippine automotive, garments and coconut sectors.
