National Sectoral Consultation Re: ILS Research Titled “Gap Analysis of Key OSH Conventions”

The said research is being undertaken by the Department of Labor and Employment, through the ILS, Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC), Bureau of Working Conditions (BWC), in partnership with the International Labor Organization (ILO). The study is part of the global project of the ILO on occupational safety and health (OSH) called “Building a Generation of Safe and Healthy Workers- Safe Youth @ Work Project funded by the United States Department of Labor (USDOL). One of the key elements of the said project is the alignment of national laws and regulations with ILO OSH instruments, and to support national efforts to ratify ILO OSH Conventions.
The consultation will also serve as venue for the presentation of the result of the gap analysis and to solicit comments, inputs and additional information from partner agencies and stakeholders – government, labor and employers’ groups, youth, and civil society organizations.
